BNSF Automotive Rules and Policies Guide Update

The BNSF Automotive Rules & Policies Guide has been moved to our Customer Portal. The Automotive Rules & Policies Guide, as well as other policies and rules for credit and collections, shipping, service, equipment, liability, storage, drayage and more, can be found in the Rules and Publications section.

Effective Monday, July 22, 2024, BNSF will be adjusting loading requirements for all vehicles, including oversized and dually trucks, to follow the Association of American Railroads (AAR) loading procedures and special loading procedures for dual-wheel units.

The changes noted above will be reflected in Item 14 of the BNSF Automotive Rules and Policies Guide prior to implementation date.
