Mexico Digital Window for Foreign Trade Platform Maintenance 7-Day Outage Scheduled to Begin February 8, 2025

Date
Jan 30, 2025

The Mexico Tax Administration or (Servicio de Administración, SAT) has announced a scheduled maintenance outage for the Mexican Digital Window for Foreign Trade or (Ventanilla Única de Comercio Exterior Mexicana, VUCEM) platform. The outage will begin at 12:00 PM CDT on February 8, 2025, and continue for approximately 7 days.

To minimize disruptions, a contingency plan has been implemented to provide the mandatory customs documents to their Mexican customs broker. This will enable the manual creation of the Pedimento (customs declaration) so that shipments can be cleared before reaching the border.

During the outage, the following will occur:

  • Automated Pedimento and cargo data transmission through VUCEM will be unavailable for carload, automotive, and intermodal shipments entering Mexico
  • Mexican brokers will need to make arrangements to physically submit the required documents to the appropriate National Customs Agency of Mexico or (Agencia Nacional de Aduanas de México, ANAM) location for validation and clearance
  • The (ANAM) will manually handle customs documents and Pedimentos

For more details on the upcoming VUCEM outage, please visit the SAT website.
