Metals LOGs Auction Update Starting April 20, 2026

When the final 26-week LOGs term ends on April 19, 2026, all 65/66 foot gondolas previously dedicated to the LOGS program will be returned to the general fleet. Starting April 20, 2026, BNSF will begin reallocating equipment to better respond to evolving market demands and to improve network fluidity. Returning these gondolas to the general fleet will allow more dynamic equipment assignments and help BNSF support a broader range of customer needs across our network and service windows.

Existing LOGs commitments in the current 26-week term will run to completion, after which 65/66 foot gondolas will be scheduled and assigned from the general fleet rather than through LOGs auction. Availability will be managed through standard BNSF equipment orders.
