FORT WORTH, TEXAS, Jan. 14, 2026 – BNSF Railway, one of North America’s leading freight transportation companies, announced today its safety results for 2025, reporting the best year ever in the company’s 177-year history. \n\nBNSF, comprised of approximately 35,000 employees, operated its 32,500-mile network with a 13 percent decrease in rail equipment incidents, surpassing the Class I railroad’s target for 2025 and continuing to lead the industry, as it has over the past decade.
